Edinburgh Entrepreneurship Club: Lessons Learned and Myths Explored: Starting Up in America and Scotland - (Archangel Speaker Series)

Believe it or not, Edinburgh is one of the best places to start a tech company! Drawing from his experience starting and growing companies in both America and Scotland, John Peebles will provide an American's perspective on the Scottish investment community, business climate, and why Edinburgh might be one of the best places in the world to start your next great company.

The Entrepreneurship Club is delighted to be hosting this event in conjunction with Archangel Informal Investment, Scotland’s leading business angel syndicate. Established in 1992, the syndicate now comprises over 100 investor members. Archangels invests c.£10m per year in early stage Scottish technology companies, including leverage from partners, the largest being the Scottish Enterprise Co-Investment Fund.

Coffee will be served from 6pm and the event will start at 6:30pm. The talk will be followed by a wine reception.

About John Peebles

John has spent the past 12 years growing healthcare and education technology startups in America and Scotland. Currently the CEO of Administrate, an online training administration system built just for training providers, he is passionate about great teamwork and great products.

John has spoken at universities and conferences across the United States and Europe on a variety of topics including teams, technology, and growing successful startups.
