Digital Champion Summit

Thanks to the support of #hellodigital, Highlands and Islands Enterprise and The Highland Council, Digital Highland invites you to attend our one day Digital Champion Summit.

Who should attend?

We would love to welcome you along to our event if:

You help people every day with online platforms as part of your job (in which case you already are a digital champion!) and would like to find out more.

You volunteer with a fantastic third sector organisation and know that digital skills would really help those you support - we’ll tell you more about becoming a digital champion!

You’re excited about the power of digital for greater good, and have basic internet skills you’d like to share with others. (in which case, again, we’d love you to become a digital champion)

We welcome folk from all sectors – public, private and third sector- as everyone has a part to play.

This hands-on, informative day should leave you buzzing with ideas and help you make the most of the skills you already have. You’ll learn more about Digital Highland, a regional approach to helping folk with basic digital skills. Our partners from Highlands and Islands Enterprise, The Highland Council and SCVO will share why they believe the internet is for everyone.

At the event, you’ll hear from current digital champions about their role within organisations and how being a digital champion has opened up new skills and training for them.

There will be a skills workshop with RNIB, to help you understand the full benefits that going digital can have and how you can help and support other people make a real positive difference to their lives. We’ll also have including the opportunity to learn more about the Digital Champions Network, and the fantastic skills development platform provided by Digital Unite.

But most importantly, you can meet fellow volunteers and colleagues who all share an interest in digital and a passion for helping people.
