This is the first monthly meetup in Glasgow for people who use or want to learn more about the Ruby programming language. Whether you’re a seasoned Rubyist or a complete beginner, this will be an opportunity to learn from other people in the community, share ideas and make new friends!
“Ruby is a dynamic, open source programming language with a focus on simplicity and productivity. It has an elegant syntax that is natural to read and easy to write.” Ruby is a fun and rewarding language, and is used everywhere from the Web to heavy industry. Read more about it at www.ruby-lang.org.
We’re meeting in the Saramago Café Bar inside the CCA from 19:00. The bar has a good range of vegan food, alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. If you can’t find us, ask at the bar or reception for the Ruby group.
The Scottish Ruby User Group meets on the first Thursday of the month in Glasgow, and the third Thursday in Edinburgh.

About ScotRUG
The Scottish Ruby User Group is a collection of people who are linked with Scotland and have an interest in Ruby and, invariably, Ruby on Rails. We meet every month for presentations from members and guests and a chat about Ruby and Ruby Related events. Everybody is welcome and there are no subscriptions/costs involved.
