Mainly a casual social event, intended to include any interested Wikimedians who find themselves in Edinburgh or can make their way to Edinburgh on the day.
You can expect to meet some very keen Wikipedians, however this is also an open invitation to anyone interested in finding out more about Wikipedia, other Wikimedia projects, projects re-using Wikipedia, and other collaborative wiki projects. Feel free to come along and raise these discussions over a coffee.
Since the 2014 Wiki Loves Monuments UK competition is open until 30 September, we have the opportunity for those who are interested to combine our meet-up with a Wiki Loves Monuments photo expedition. If you're interested, bring a camera to take some pictures of buildings and monuments around the venue after the meet-up!
We will be easily spotted, surrounded by laptops, tablets, and phones and sporting a table-top ScotWiki banner!
