Women in Tech, Scotland: Fireside chat with Elaine Ford: Founder of Electrek Explorer & COP26 Ambassador

As part of the Products for the Planet hackathon, join us for an online fireside chat and Q&A event with Elaine Ford, founder of Electrek Explorer and Planet Rewild, as well as being a current UN COP26 Ambassador. Elaine will be sharing her entrepreneurial journey and experiences founding two businesses, both with environmentally conscious missions.

Elaine will be interviewed by Abby Scott from technology recruitment company Bright Purple. The interview will last approximately 20-30 minutes, followed by a Q&A session.

About Elaine:

Elaine has founded two businesses that educate and empower action for climate change.

Planet Rewild aims to raise awareness of environmental issues and provide innovative environmental education through immersive 360 film and virtual reality technology.

Electrek Explorer aims to tackle the climate crisis by promoting low carbon electric travel and nature-based tourism. They are developing an app that curates exploration of the natural world for Electric cars, E-bikes and E-campervans, using geospatial technology to support the NetZero transition by helping people plan and explore electric-powered trips, connect with nature and promote wellbeing through active travel.

Through Electrek Explore, Elaine was also selected as a UN COP 26 Green Ambassador with UK Government: youtu.be
They are part of the UK Department of Transport summer, cycling and walking campaign.
