Lean Agile Glasgow - Two Talks - Clare Quigley, Alex Barber. Kanban and More.

For our December event, we'll have two talks for you to see out the year!

**Clare Quigley - 10 common pitfalls to be aware of with Kanban**

Description: We all know how to get started (start with what you do now) but how do you know if Kanban is working for your team? I will cover 10 common pitfalls teams face when implementing Kanban, helping you recognise them and importantly deal with them if they appear in your team.

Bio: Clare Quigley, an experienced project manager, is currently the Portfolio Lead for Application Infrastructure within Morgan Stanley’s Technology division. Clare was instrumental in introducing Kanban to her department and now leads monthly Kanban Knowledge Shares globally, helping other teams with their Kanban adoption.

Clare is a founding member and Co-Chair of Morgan Stanley’s Glasgow Women in Technology (WIT) network, and also Co-Chair of the Sustainability Committee. Outside of work, Clare volunteers with her local Trussell Trust foodbank and sings in a rock choir. Currently based in Glasgow, Clare has worked all over the UK, as well as Hong Kong, which gave her the travel bug; currently on a quest to visit 50 countries, Clare has made it to 32 and counting.

Talk 2
** Alex Barber - "You are free to use any methods necessary..." Darth Vader **

Description: Alex and his team have wrestled with this question while embarking on a journey to deliver more value, in less time. Going through the agile motions looks good on paper, but doesn't translate to the success that their stakeholders fall over themselves to get. Discover how autonomy, mastery, and purpose have been the keys to the team's unprecedented success and growth from doing agile to being an agile team.

Bio: Alex’s personal motto is “Be yourself. Explore. Eat everything.” Alex is an avid reader of books written by dead people, a relatively new father, an AWS-certified developer and architect, and is in his diminishing spare time, he aspires to become a friendlier Gordon Ramsay.
