Future Hack No.4 brings together citizens and government to develop innovative transport ideas during a weekend-long event 30th May - 1st June.
The winning project receives £20,000 in seed funding, but the real value is in the opportunity to demonstrate your ideas, network with decision-makers and collaborate with like-minded individuals. Attending the event could change your life, and potentially the lives of all citizens in Glasgow.
Everyone is welcome: join professionals, developers, designers, creatives, academics, government staff and political leaders to collaborate on meaningful projects to build the Future City of Glasgow.
This is our final of four events, and we are going out with a big celebration at the Riverside Museum. Participants are well catered for; we provide food, drink, team-forming facilitation, mentoring, working material and guidance throughout the event.
OPEN Glasgow has been described as potentially the biggest, most adventurous grassroots development Glasgow has ever experienced.

FUTURE CITY | GLASGOW presents FUTURE HACK No. 1: PUBLIC SAFETY
Description changed:
Between February and May 2014 Open Glasgow is hosting a series of four themed Future Hacks. Each hack will focus on one of four key aspects of city life - Public Safety, Energy, Health and Transport. The first of these will focus on the theme of Public Safety. Participants will collaborate and exploring how technology and open data could improve life in the city of Glasgow in the future.
The first event Future Hack will focus on the theme of Public Safety and will run from 6pm on Friday 21st February until 9pm on Sunday 23rd February. The venue will be South Block (50-68 Osbourne St, Glasgow, G1 5QH), located in the heart of Glasgow’s Merchant City, which is home to 150 visual artists, social entrepreneurs and creative businesses. South Block will remain open to registered participants all weekend.
At each Hackathon there will be expert mentors on hand to offer help and support to participants. Those taking part will form teams around an idea and develop it into a concept which they will present to a panel of expert judges on Sunday evening for the chance to share in the cash prize fund of £20,000.
Future City | Glasgow is hoping to attract participants from a diverse range of backgrounds with a shared interest in how technology and open data could improve life for those living and working in Glasgow.
