So now that the festival is over and we can all return to a more regular routine I figured it was a good time to get the next WordPress meetup in the diary. I hope that those of you who have attended previously have enjoyed it so far?
Time: 6pm (meetups will start at 6pm)
Speaker: Short talk followed by discussionJustin Reynolds will speak (topic to be confirmed) at our September meetup - some of you will have met him last month.
Thanks in advance and I look forward to see you all again soon.
Would you believe it, Christmas is just around the corner! Hence this will be our Christmas meetup. It also happens to be the first gathering since the WordCamp, so it would be great to see some new faces.
The last Christmas meetup was before my time, but I hear from a reliable source that the evening was spiced-up with a bit of festivity, at a cost per person (£15).
If this is something that interests you then please leave a comment, we can then arrange the cost per person, including venue.
My plan is to have the usual meeting at Sygn Bar, starting at 6pm. Then we can welcome any new faces and have a relaxed social gathering with WordPress Q&A, as we have the last couple of meetings. Then, those that wish to have a festive meal/buffet at a cost per head can join us either at Sygn Bar, or an alternative venue.
Organising the WordCamp meant we were not able to arrange the usual monthly speaker. In the New Year we will begin to have speakers and talks again, as we have done previous months. Especially as WordCamp activities have now settled down.
See you soon, and please chime in so we can arrange the Christmas gathering. I think it will be a great way to see out the year and spend time with our growing community.

**Updated**
We have decided to Meet as usual at Sygn Bar, welcome any new faces and have a relaxed social gathering with WordPress Q&A, as we have the last couple of meetings.
The Christmassy bit:
When the open Q&A is finished, we will head to the Christmas Market on Princes St. where we can get some festive Food and Drink. There is no set cost to attend; everyone can simply pay for what they want when we arrive.
Personally, I look forward to trying the mulled cider! :)
Organising WordCamp Edinburgh meant we were not able to arrange the usual monthly speaker. In the New Year we will begin to have speakers and talks again, as we have done previous months. Especially as WordCamp activities have now settled down.
Looking forward to the Christmas gathering, I think it will be a great way to see out the year and spend time with our growing community.
