Edinburgh UX meetup - short talks

Welcome to our short talks series, hosted at CodeBase. Here you'll find professionals across the UX spectrum talking about the topics that are of particular interest to them.

We'll kick off with an open discussion around user research practices (i.e. how we go about designing, running and analysing studies). If you have any specific questions you'd like to put to the group, please leave a comment.

Talk 1: So what do you do? (or what am I paying you for?)
Kevin Greenan (Designer/Developer at LendingCrowd) will treat us to a light hearted romp through paying a professional to do it and using templates.

Talk 2: What is a UX/UI designer? (Michael Haigney)
An exploration of how UX roles have emerged and evolved. Their importance and the importance of the organisation understanding the role. Observations from 20 years working in digital transformation and change with globally known brands and micro enterprises.
