This timely seminar will assess the way forward for UK spectrum policy and management - looking at regulation, innovation and international relationships.

As Ofcom announces its thinking and plans for 5G development, delegates will discuss the best ways to encourage investment, ensure the availability of key bands such as 3.4GHz – 3.8GHz and above 26GHz as well UK leadership internationally in this field at a time when the implications of Brexit are being debated.

Delegates will also discuss the ever increasing demand for spectrum, and the best ways to reconcile that whilst protecting other users and services at a time when Ofcom has closed its consultation into 2.3 GHz and 3.4GHz awards. They will also assess how some services could utilise improved 4G and broadband networks to deliver services in different ways, either in certain areas or entirely. Other areas for discussion will include the continued progress and investment in the rollout of 4G, the wider international landscape and the UK's role within it and spectrum for emerging technologies like IoT.
