Summary changed:
This seminar will be a timely opportunity to discuss the next steps for cyber security in the UK.
Description changed:
Following the announcement of the agreed EU Network and Information Security Directive, as well as a number of high profile breaches, this seminar will be a timely opportunity to discuss the next steps for cyber security in the UK.
Delegates will examine developments and priorities in the regulatory, policy and legal spheres, and consider how policymakers, industry and the education system should address challenges including the skills shortfall. As well as analysing the UK’s response to threats and key vulnerabilities, further areas for discussion include best practice in building cyber resilience into systems at every stage of development and challenging complacent organisation cultures. Sessions will also assess the common issues which face UK industry as well as the sector-specific challenges for key industries.
We are delighted that at this early stage Matthew Gould, Director, Office for Cyber Security and Information Assurance, Cabinet Office; Emma Philpott, Chief Executive Officer, The IASME Consortium; Raj Samani, Chief Technology Officer, Intel Security and Conor Ward, Partner, Hogan Lovells have agreed to speak.
