In the changing world of work there is an increasing requirement for both employers and individuals to access upskilling and retraining opportunities in a range of areas, one of the most prevalent being data science and AI.

For many who are just setting out on this journey, whether it be out of necessity, curiosity or general interest, the data training landscape can be a complicated one to navigate without guidance on the best path to follow.

There are many challenges in addressing this including cost and time limitations, and a lack of direction and support.

This event aims to introduce a range of upskilling and retraining opportunities for employers who are faced with changes and are in the early stages of planning to upskill and retain existing employees, and also for individuals who may be considering a change in career direction or just looking to broaden their horizons.

Katrina Mcrae (www.linkedin.com), Head of Emerging Capabilities at Leidos, will present on the challenges faced by their organisation and how they are addressing these through training.

There will also be a range of short talks introducing a variety of face to face and online training opportunities (many of which can be accessed free of charge), and interactive discussion with the opportunity for audience members to share their challenges, interests, opinions and actions taken or existing plans to move forward in this exciting, but fast-changing environment.

The event will commence at 5.30pm with drinks, food and networking. The first talk will be at 6.00pm.
